EDIT: Baby Shower RSVP is now at capacity! See you this weekend!

I Be Black Girl is thrilled to announce the annual Black Maternal Health Month Baby Shower, taking place on October 27th at 1 PM at the Venue at the Highlander Omaha. This year’s event promises to be a heartwarming afternoon filled with pampering, fun, and relaxation for expecting community members.

Every October, I Be Black Girl powers Black Maternal Health Month in Nebraska, providing a vital platform to explore and implement solutions that foster positive experiences for Black mothers and individuals with the capacity for pregnancy. The baby shower serves as a celebration and an opportunity for education and connection within the community.

“This event is more than just a celebration; it’s a chance to strengthen our community bonds and empower expecting mothers with the resources and support they deserve,” said Sydney Shead, Birth Justice Program Associate at I Be Black Girl. “We believe that every expecting mother deserves a nurturing environment, and this baby shower embodies that commitment.”

Join in for an afternoon filled with community resources, self-care activities, and a chance to connect with other expecting parents.
